Doubling Down on Malaria No More
Mosquito Squad is saving lives from mosquitoes, locally and globally!
As mosquito control experts, we know that mosquitoes carry deadly diseases, the most prevalent still being malaria. Malaria was eradicated in the US over 50 years ago. However, over 250 million Africans contract malaria each year, resulting in the death of over 1,000 children every day, mostly under the age of five.
Five years ago, Mosquito Squad forged a relationship to focus on direct community action with Malaria No More, a nonprofit global health organization with the goal of ending malaria deaths in Africa. By meeting directly with community leaders and maintaining a local presence in Cameroon we see the villagers we help and know our efforts are directly providing benefits. While we fight the bite everyday for our clients here at home, we understand that for many, the fight against the bite is literally a matter of life and death.
Every Mosquito Squad client is part of an effort that is saving lives. Since 2012, Mosquito Squad’s efforts have raised well over $200,000 to help fuel the fight against malaria. Cape Cod Mosquito Squad donates $1 for each client and matches those dollars with a portion of our sales to Malaria No More.
Through our activities in Cameroon we ensure adequate, timely and widespread communications that help inform school-aged children and communities regarding protective bed net distribution and proper usage.
You can increase your contribution in the fight against malaria by donating alongside Mosquito Squad at SwatMalaria.net. Any dollar amount can help by funding important educational activities and, ultimately, saving lives by preventing the citizens of Cameroon from contracting malaria.
One Billion Nets
Mosquito Squad helped distribute one billion mosquito nets in Africa since 2000. We are proud to be a part of this effort in conjunction with global health organizations and corporations.
